EDG and union gas are going to merge and there are going to be layoffs due to synergies...that’s a fact. Packages will be given and likely not as good as they were in the past. The discussion that remains is how everything will work, look, feel afterwards following merger/layoffs as the new Enbridge. Other areas of ENB are not doing well and continue to struggle with moral, productivity and stock prices as they continue to deal with synergies...how long until this is all over and the company and remaining employees can just be settled and do their jobs and get treated like people.

Once OEB gives ago ahead. Individuals will be escorted quickly to the doors over the next 1-3 months. The plan is to have completed before year end 2018 or benefit choice time.
Why have potentially confirmed terminated employees renew on the new 2019 harmonized benefit/pension program ?
Realize you are only considered a number HEAD COUNT, a small replaceable cog in a big machine. It could be worse, to pick up my spirits I read the following novels on Totalitarianism : Animal Farm ( the Pigs take over the farm ),1984 ( doublespeak where everything is PC and Spun), and Brave New World ( where everyone is medicated to some degree ). The latter seems like the best option. Then you can buy into the doublespeak from the Pigs and continue to medicate.
