Thread regarding Chesapeake Energy Corp. layoffs

RTC up for sale?

Just heard that they tried to sell the lab last year to Premier (despite assurances that selling the lab was out of the question) for $65 million.

Anyone have some thoughts on that?

Some, not all, are actually benefiting from that training. It’s usually the ones that know a bottle of veuve won’t mask the problems.

Kinda like cultural training (elaborate overspend). You know a mental disorder was behind that decision!

RTC was just another elaborate overspend from a person with a mental disorder. I wonder what it cost to build, equip and employ the people to run it. Bet we could sure use that money right now.

Exactly what the last person said. CHK is a jumping off point.

Everything in the oilfield is always for sale. It's just a matter of a buyer offering enough to make the deal. But everything is ALWAYS for sale. Don't kid yourself. And if you ever get assurances that something is out of the question. Just end that in your head with "until the right buyer comes along" or until market conditions force it.

My experience at CHK says trust no one. It is a jumping off point, not a long term career.
