They are waiting until the end of the year again so everyone gets screwed on their taxes like last year. Meanwhile, they are laying off people who need jobs when there are high-earners who'd like to leave with a package. Qorvo is always looking out for their employees.
Come on Qorvo, we need VSP 2.0!
Word must have gone around about more RIFs , the stock price climbed.
Consider, is the NC Fab busy because of new orders or is it busy to make old part numbers to meet the Customer requirements of parts being made in a specific fab. Remember they could not change some of the specs to let Hillsboro make them. And/or is it making all those part before the sale of the Fab to make sure all the profit stays internal? Either way at least you are busy and have the opportunity for overtime. At 4 lots a day Florida cannot be too busy. The departments providing services to the Fab will probably take bigger cuts. Evening shift was reduced to a skeleton the last time this happened. Weekends were pretty much a safety issue with people working alone. No supervisor, 1 EE tech, 1 facilities tech. Hope it does not happen again.
NC Fab idle down canceled for July 4-8 for equipment maintenance. Due to increase in production.
Fab is already lean. Looking at other departments for RIF. Not saying which.
4 lots start a Day! LOL
Good luck to all that are in the FAB. Only a few people left. I just don't see how they can cut any more.
No....They're looking at RIF's. Still need much operational cost cutting.
