Thread regarding ADP layoffs

No more early retirement offers

Way way back in the day, I’m going to say June 2001 or June 2002 there was a voluntary lay off offered. Then the following June a flat out Lay off.

Then the big OEI (organizational effeciency initiative I believe is what it stood for) and SO many people where laid off between Feb-June 2009. Every Friday offices and regions held their breathes. This went on for months.

There will NOT be another lay off OR this early retirement offer for a very long time. Not after SO many people who were offered the retirement package took it! 72% took it and the company was expecting 30-35% max. Does anyone look at that and wonder WHAT DOES THAT SAY ABOUT THE STATE OF THE CO & THE EMPLOYEES?

I’m still here. I believe the team I am on is safe as our director “claims” nothing to our team.... but as mentioned in many posts in other threads, the lies are endless.

ADP is going down the tubes quick and in a hurry. It is very sad for the ones left behind as they will most likely not get any benefits. TOP Management are all liars and I hope to see a few of the TOPS DOGS go down. I am happy to be gone with a nice package but I am not sure all of the people struggling and left behind will be treated as well as the ERP's.

Since the goal is to get rid of ALL of the over 55 employees, they still have 28% to go.

I have to agree with the previous reply... there absolutely will be more lay offs and building closures..(i just heard a Florida office is closing) . Big deal that 72% of those offered took the incentive.. the number of eligible associates versus the number of all ADP employees ..BIG difference. I will agree with the original post that most likely they will not make such generous early retirement offer again.

BZZT. You are SO wrong. Step 1: ADP took out highly paid people by coercion and lies. Step 2: They ASKED for ERP volunteers. Step 3: They remove (without severance) any remaining people like you to reach their goal of 15K to 20K people reduction.

Don’t believe what your director is telling you. No one is Safe. Three of the directors within my business unit took the ERP. Also the DVP took the offer. What does that say. There jobs are not even safe. They will give the jobs to someone in the new MEGA centers who don’t have a clue what the department even does
