Take what you want.

The only reason anybody would even go back through the footage is if a tip was turned in to watch the cameras at a certain time.

@2wmy Yes, they have had such technology for several years at least, as they have been gradually taking away on-site loss prevention personnel from more and more of the remaining stores. Some guy sitting in the back room at one store has to be able to watch the cameras from three, four, etc... stores. How long ago did your buddy work there?

Does Sears/Kmart even have the technology to have cameras that can be viewed centrally? My buddy worked at Kmart for a while and the couple cameras they had in the store were literally like 'home movie' old VHS cameras mounted to the wall.

I'm assuming this is going to apply to Kmart as well, right?

There are a couple of previous recent threads regarding holiday pay on this board already.

@1kfc - there's remote monitoring. ALL stores are remotely monitored, AP or no AP. Yes, they can't reach out from the cameras and grab you by the neck of your shirt, but they can call your store manager, notify them and notify your DLPM who will team up together and start an investigation, which can include but is not limited to: undercover store visits by AP and the installation of covert cameras.

You and everyone else "pitching in on the fun" will be caught eventually. You will face a demand of civil restitution (if you don't pay your wages are garnished) and you will have a strong chance of criminal charges being filed against you. You will also have your name entered into the retail theft database which pretty much all retailers (and even many non-retailers) have access to.

When this is first discovered, you will have the police waiting for you and you will be taken out in handcuffs. You should just quit while you are ahead.

I know I am! Taking stuff home damn near on a daily basis. No loss prevention at our store. About 6 employees at any given time in the store and they are busy taking as much or more than me.

If you are still around you are just a kling-on who will be squeezed of every last drop ... just be sure to take more than you give 😃
