If that is the case third party should be the way they go. As others have said furniture operations does not act like they are profitable.

To @T6zyC5i-9zda

There is merit to 3rd party operations. It allows labor and fix costs to become a variable expense as business ebbs and flows versus a fully fixed cost expense of a fully staffed internal furnop team. The labor, trucks and warehouse expenses and fixes costs that are always there and doesn’t t adjust to the natural ebb and flow of furniture project related business or transactional side of the business.

Most dealerships have moved to this model and have a smaller internal staff for service work and transactional orders.

So you are saying 3rd party operations is the way to go?

Why people continue to lie and spread panic across teams will forever intrigue me. Furniture is one of the most profitable teams at Staples, and to think you can’t have that without furniture operations, 3rd party or not, is stupid.

Until you have hard facts, stop with the b---s---. VS, WT, TQ and all other SR management are still here.

Somebody is being petty, move around with the lies.

Yes. Increase. Staples will double down on its internal furniture staff just like they did with the supply drivers. Even a broken watch is right twice a day, so I would not jump ship from Staples just yet. As douche Larouche used to say “Are you done with your food, I’m still hungry”!!

Staples furniture operations will receive a 25% increase. No layoffs in he future. Hiring more and more everyday. Cutting back on 3rd party.

Even if FURNOPS goes it means absolutely nothing. Hundreds of contract dealers across the country have drawn back on furniture operations and utilize third parties. It's usually more efficient And skill sets are higher. A fully staffed FURNOPS is a high cost way to serve the order. Scaled down and utilization of third party install teams. Actually can produce higher margin and lower overhead.

This is at least the third time this has been posted in the past year. I guess if you say it enough times at some point you just might be right.

No surprise with this at all. Furniture requires to much back end support and lacks quick turn and earn capabilities. Next up ...... FS supplies and the idiot directors.
