Leadership is non existent in the company. If you are completely non experienced or incompetent they promote you. The Allscripts way. Executives dumped big piles of stock recently. That should tell people something.
Toxic, horrible company to work for and anyone who is wise wont slow down their career by taking a job here. It’s hell.

I’m not an allscripts employee. Just a job seeker in Charlotte who replied to a job posting on the allscripts site. I’ve been in companies where consolidation happened and some locations had to be shut down. The discussions here have been informative, good research for the job hunt. It sounds really bleak at Allscripts. Good luck to those still there.
This is not a group or single location problem. Allscripts is in a company wide die back mode. Look at the top leaders in the company. They have zero experience working with software . Their MO now Is to purchase other companies products and utilities and pray they can smash them together to get something which may work. RD is like a bad fusion jazz band ; everyone coding their own thing in their own way. Mangers are terrible. I don't know what group/division you are in so I cant say moving will spare you, prolong your misery longer or you just moved to a new city and will get cut there. If Charlotte is a better economy then where you ae coming from then yes it is probably a good lateral move. Best move Is to exit the company and start roots in a successful company. IMHO
If consolidation is in the works, will they shut down certain locations? I just applied to a position in the Charlotte office, but now I'm wondering about its future.
The majority of the core product lines are so poorly architected, coded, and integrated the only qualified resources to keep the crap running and clients at bay are the long time employees in support.
These employees have been in place for many years and have developed their own secrete conduits through out the company in order to get things done. Leadership at all levels is clueless about this network. All the workarounds needed due to RD consistent failures over the years are second nature to theses people.
I heard only the first 100-125 will be accepted, out of the 1000 or so letters sent out. That will NOT be enough to prevent a large layoff later this quarter or next.
On the bright side there is another failing company up for sale and Allscripts has proven it will purchase anything to mask the rot inside its books... wait and see, 6/15 fast approaching. Time to implement the 80/20 rule. 80% dedicated to yourself looking for new job outside the company and 20% dedicated work. That is still 19% more effort then any leader...
I'm genuinely curious what will come of this - seems a lot of folks who got "the offer" are seasoned and at least from my perspective, its going to put support in a bind if these people leave. Some heavy hitters who truly know what they're doing, advisors, experts, etc.
Then again, they gave out X offers, and are expecting Y to accept, what happens when they don't hit that target of Y acceptances?
Correction: one week pay for each year you worked + 4 additional weeks. So if 50 yrs old and 10 years of service, you would get 10 weeks of pay + 4 additional weeks and health insurance for one year.
R and D did not get early retirement over. Support staff; corporate PMO, Services, HR and corporate Finance groups were included in offer. Must be below VP level and must have 60 years (age + years of service). They were told this was a first come, first serve option with limited number of offers to be made; however, they would not release total number that would be offered. Employees have 7 days to put their name in the pot. Will be interesting to find out total count and what happens next.
Any leaderships included In this package? They re all clueless as they are stupid. Seems the more incompetent leader you are you get promoted into services, hosted , operations, or another meaningless group? CCO head needs to roll. too .. . Any RD offered the packages? Everyone knows at least 1 of the VP and several dirs. who need to go.. Lyft is their best offer SAD.
The fun begins 6/15. Generation F and leadership will have to finally rise up from their waste....

You can double your earnings driving Allscript patients for Lyft. First trip to a Allscripts practice , "what hosted down again" take patient to another practice using Cerner or Epic. Double the $$$$ . They are weak ....capitalize....
Some groups being offered early retirement package today. Must have a total of 60 years or more (combination of years of service and age). Only available to some groups (support, sevices, HR, corporate finance and maybe a few others). Package includes one year health insurance + one month’s salary for every year you have worked + 4 additional weeks of pay. Upper management levels not eligible. Effective July 1, 2018. Understand many are considering taking the option. Problem I see with this is that olde r employees are less likely to have employment opportunities when the severance package ends. Then what?
Allscripts MO. Propping up evaporating revenue and dwindling client base thru cost reductions, and purchasing other companies products lines, mothballed or otherwise. The latest purchase is another overhyped none significant product which will be under achieved and poorly integrated if it gets that far. It was made clear in the recent quarterly call it is all about the stock price and nothing to do with patients, clients, or the products. Successful product lines require quality leadership at all levels. Allscripts has zero leadership at all levels. The quarterly report made mention of an upcoming restructure and cost reductions So yes one is coming. Listen to the call and make your own judgements. Leadership missed the streets estimates this past quarter despite, another record bookings...
How about one or several of the Allscripts leadership which troll this site comment? We just have to keep searching and jump when we can.
