now VA students shouldn't be taking out loans - period!!! there education is covered 100% but these "guys" have no desire in working ... why would they, the break down of funding is crazy!!!!

example in 1 session:

Texas BAH $2000.00 a month

Pell Grant at FT $1500.00 (ex with an EFC of 0000 and full pell)

Loans at GL 1 $2375.00

====================

$5,875.00 a month!!!!!

and the sad part about this....most of these guys live at home with there parents or live in their car per choice!!! Then they default on the loans that supplied their life for the past 4 years!!!! i wish, the Government made created a freeze on all VA students taking out more than what the cost of the school is.

the main abusers of our federal loan system are serving our country and screwing the us later!!!!

hope you guys had a good 4th of July!!!

fake news!!!! - the only way this is happening ....

  1. the student gives the advisor his/her FSA log in and password

  2. then the advisor using the "given"FSA ID to complete the Loan Entrance Counseling and MPN

  3. The MPN and LEC are confirmed by the email provided.

  4. Then the student is enroll in his/her courses and notices.....the VA payment and large amount excess aid being release to me.

  5. and that aid - clearing states as Federal Subsidized Loan or Unsubsidized Loan in an email prior to disbursement!!!

c'mon...we are NOT ITT Tech here!!!!

How would that be possible. Camden, can you explain? A "school" cannot take out a loan on behalf of an individual. Now, an advisor may encourage someone to take out a loan to pay for school, but that individual would still be the one signing off on loan documents. Unless I am missing something about your comment, I think this is "fake news".
