With escalating rumors that Bob will only get a seat on the Board, is there a chance all other restructure is on hold? No one seems to have heard anything.

With acquisition talks going up in flames and Viacom share price dipping once again today, Viacom needs to downsize more than ever to survive.
The layoffs were planned well before the most recent merger conversations so I would say the merger talks have no impact on tomorrow.
What about Research and CI???

I don't know all the departments but MTS for sure and it will be very broad, not at all SVP and above. More like middle management, director, Sr director and VP. A lot of people who have a decade or more here.

May 15th is definitely still on, if it's delayed it will only be by a few days to a week and it will be because HR couldn't get all the paperwork done in time. Once they are set in motion these things rarely get called of and Bob is fully in support of these cost cutting measures.
