Juniper routing is down 20% yearly
Clearly the flagship routing products of juniper are not competitive anymore .
Expect layoffs in Routing group as this is one of the fat group which was hardly touched in the past

Checking in after some time. How do the routing numbers look today?
Now Q2 is over , wait for Q3 it will be worst ever for Routing , one major Teleco is moving away from Juniper, R.I.P. MX
Another bad Qtr coming for routing
RR being a PLM himself is very reluctant to touch the PLM and Marketing groups, on the PLM side especially the routing PLMs who are his long time friends. On the marketing side, well, all of it. This brings rocket fuel to the perfect storm of destruction at Juniper.
The current and former PLMs at Juniper walk around as though they are gods gift to technology. They are not... this id why:
World class PLMs work with a vision for the future, know and understand the technologies they work with, thoroughly keepsabreast of the competition, and most of all stay grounded and humble and communicate with others without an ego. At juniper we have NO PLMs who are this.
On the marketing side too, a similar problem exists. The perfect storm in juniper’s Marketing is the deadly combination of ‘arrogance’ and ‘ignorance’. Juniper marketing has some of the biggest idiots in the industry. They mislead sales and upper management like no other group, but never take onus for their issues. They are quick to point fingers and blame their woes on others including their own. The leadership has finagled creative ways to survive for years by forming cliques.
In short, the lack of PLM and Marketing talent is the downfall of Juniper.
Hear there will be huge changes in the PLM groups. Anyone wish to comment if these layoff rumors are true?
This is precisely the reason why RR and crew have been trying to position Juniper closer to the Cloud, Automation and Security solutions - diversifying the technology focus.
It’s a lost cause. Juniper is DONE!
Routing is the only product area that is proping Juniper up. If routing goes down Juniper goes down.
