On top of the Cabela's job losses, the farmers are now facing low wheat, soybean and corn prices...and high Diesel costs. Boy, NG

Anyone who is blaming Trump need to test their own common sense & intelligence. Get a clue, and a brain.
Nebraska Farmland Values Drop by 2.8 Percent
https://www.usnews.com/news/best-states/nebraska/articles/2018-05-07/nebraska-farmland-values-drop-by-28-percent
That's impacts on how much farmers can borrow.
Yeah it’s not trumps fault, it was the deep nepotism of Cabela’s that screed them. Hiring whoever was in town just because they were there (experience or not) or just because they were a family friend. It’s the same with any other family run business, but then the business grows up and they hire real talent. Also hiring everyone from out of state really screwed them, here let’s pay you $4k to move out here and leave in 2 years. Can’t tell you how many people o have seen through the years just come and go after 2 years, it was the running joke for the company.
Good luck whoever’s left in sidney, get out while you still can!!!
Sidney’s die was cast much like the coal towns in West Virginia’s die was cast
It matters very little who is in office, as the eventual outcome is the same.
Now the town board, that’s a problem. But the same is for anytown who put in a lot of infrastructure for a Cabela’s store and didn’t insist upon a contract for a duration of occupying said store
Although I didn't think the political issue should be here, I do have to comment on the "blame the president" comment. That's exactly what Sidney and Cabelas did to the last president and the current prez is still doing it. In Sidney, nothing is ever due to an actual lack of judgement or mistake...it's because of other people or presidents, sales are down because of weather, those stupid liberals, the store floors need to be changed, etc. Sales do down due to bad merch, bad customer service, and bad marketing, that's it.
I do wish good luck to the agriculture there, though. Political or not.
FYI commodity pricing had started to fall well before the 'china trade war'.
Who is the Billie now?
Just last night, I saw a TV political ad where a guy running for congress and a Trump supporter said that the president has made Nebraska the place to be for jobs and business.
So what is everybody complaining about? Me said, in the ad, that there are more good paying jobs than people in Nebraska.
A grammatical correction from my previous post
My hopes and prayers go to all those affected/effected by the many facets of the horrific situation in Sidney and through out the whole organization as well as all all the various commuties
Great I thought this was about Cabela's and the mpact it will have on the individuals who are and where employed by this firm. As well as the various communities affected and effected.
Now we have an individual that has introduced vitirol political pruveance into the equation, and insulting those who have chosen to stay or unable to leave due to social, and or economic situation, as well as those who have choosen to stay becasue they want to stay.
Oh yes it is all the president's fault, as if you would be able to do any better with the same situation.
My hopes and prayers go to those affected/effected by the many facets of the horrific situation.p, in Sidney and through out the whole organization as well as all! Test communities, families samll business and all affected.
That’s what you billies get for getting that dumb a$$ Trump into office. Welcome to the trade war where farmers come out on the bottom, what a great president screwing over the people he swindled into voting for him. It’s podunk towns like Sidney that Trumps stupidity will kill.
Doesn’t really matter anyway though, anyone worth anything will get out, the rest will the the stubborn and stupid going down with the ship like they owe allegemce to a town with nothing to give.
