Approximately 20% of the presales organization was affected by this wave of layoffs. All geographies were impacted. BMC is doing what it can to minimize impact of affected people as downsizing is never easy.

Ayman's only strategy at CA was to layoff anyone who was not in the the Bay area office. He literally did nothing else in almost two years. BMC hiring him might have been the greatest gift Broadcom could have hoped for.
Everyone in the industry cheered when BMC hired Ayman Sayed. Your fate was sealed.
They are chopping it up for a sale. Too much debt and Bain needs to get out.
It is going to be a hack and sell not an IPO. Too much debt and no growth in revenue. Clients are getting spooked and renewals are short term.
Looks like BMC may got the way of SunGard under the ownership of Bain and the other investors. We shall see. IPO talk going on now.
