Thread regarding DST Systems layoffs

when are you guys going to learn?

There are no layoffs until at least 2 years into deal. then, all bets are off.

the deal won't even be sealed yet at least until may 2018. then i'd watch for 2 years as they slowly get rid of the smaller redundant/duplicate roles, you won't even hear about these types of layoffs because they will happen quietly and to just a few at a time.

then, 2 years in, massive restructuring and reorganization once they determine who they want and what the prized business units will be.

oh and no telling that in that time that a much bigger fish may come about and acquire SSnC....

live and learn young padawans...

yeah, layoffs happen, they can happen anytime for any reason. you're all one 'black swan' stock market crash away from the next great depression.... no matter where you work.

just do your jobs. you can't change what's coming.... and its a storm no one will escape no matter what you do for a living. no one is safe.

but sure as sh*t some idiot will post that layoffs got rescheduled and cause fear and despair for many reading this forum.

remember... when you least expect it, expect it. that's how life goes. stay out of debt, live within your means and you won't fear a layoff.

~you're welcome.

We had a meeting. Health Solutions is losing one or two customers so Birmingham will see layoffs. Pharmacy solutions is also having issues. They mentioned reducing staff by 80 people by years end. not sure if that includes Birmingham in that number since we help out with their call center. I know in pharmacy solutions they expect people to quit at the normal turnover rate of a call center and people posting out to other departments so I am assuming little or no layoffs for DST pharmacy solutions. I think they are going to just stop the hiring process and let the turnover rates and people posting out to to other jobs do its thing.

That Is false. They sent us an email on severance packages when layoff occurs in the first 12 months and the merger is closing April not may

People are so in debt they freak out over layoffs.

No one told you to drive a leased BMW , Lexus, Jeep, , and to buy a home with only 10 or 20% as a down payment and carry a huge mortgage for 30 years.

Is it any wonder people are stressed and sick and can't deal with job changes, not just here but at any company? Layoffs are part of the cycle of life at . If you are up to your neck in debt, this is a wake up call. Stop living beyond your means. No one is impressed with your fancy car or home if you down own it outright.

Stop spending money you don't have and layoffs will not stress you out. You'll just find another job. Deal with it and grow up already.
