College Scorecard Crash: Salary After Attending Drops $5K

University of Phoenix's sales pitch will have to be more imaginative as the numbers crash. "Salary after attending" data from the College Scorecard shows a decline of about $5000. What will these numbers look like in 2019 and 2020?

@Sy53yir-3lur, the numbers are old. And the direction is south. Where are the numbers now? Who knows?

You seem to have an issue reading the simplest of graphics. The solid line is National Average. The filled-in area is salary, which is $14,100 above the national median. Here, I will spoon feed you: https://collegescorecard.ed.gov/school/?432241-University-of-Phoenix-Oregon

@Sy53yir-1jvf, you have a point. There are many unethical and immoral organizations. I guess it's important to be able to use this form of rationalization to cope.

The problem with individuals like Camden is his premise. People like him have very little professional work experience or a specific ax to grind. Is UPX a diploma mill? In most cases yes. What they fail to understand, however, is that UPX is no more or less ethical than virtually all other organizations. I've worked for a fortune 500 healthcare company, large Auto Insurer, private and government-backed lender, large mortage company, and software sales. The premise that UPX is more unethical than most organizations in most other industries is laughable. Auto Insurance? I could tell you things that would make your head spin. Healthcare products (literally life and death)? You should see the lawsuits they settle out of court, you can't imagine. And you're all familiar, to some degree, with lending I'm sure. You know, the industry that charges you as much interest and fees as they can legally (or illegally) get away with? So the idea that UPX Is somehow more unethical because Camden or someone else just happened to work there is humorous. Is it an unethical place with a lot of bad practices? Sure it is. Is it more unethical, or the most unethical, just because you worked there? Stop being silly. It's just another place trying to make as much money as it can within the sphere of Corporate America. Grow up and move on with your life. It's not healthy to be so fixated on something.

Camden - where is salary before attending? Or do you mean after attending it’s lower this year than last year? Then say so. And wait for all campuses to have data - right now there’s only a few tiny ones with insignificant data. And almost all the students count under the Phoenix campus. Try to at least appear not too biased. Pointless though - you hate Phoenix and everything they’ll do, no matter what its has to be bad and evil. You don’t have the faintest clue who works there and how much they care.

If it’s government data, you pick and choose. Right now, scorecard is great. Last year, you questioned it (in your weep post) - when UoPX grads actually were under the top 50 earners after graduation. Not bad, one would have thought.

You are the Fox News of Phoenix haters.

@Sy53yir-1ejr, you had to actually read the numbers. Salary after attending went from $53.4K to $48.4K. Since these are old numbers, one has to wonder what UoP students will earn in the future.

...and I didn't even mention the graduation rates.

Huh? Where in the world do you get that from? The only thing I can see is that Phoenix grads make substantially more money that the average college grad. How is that bad? Probably faked data?
