For a company so focused on stock value, you'd think Devon would be doing better. As price of oil rises, DVN stock continues to slide. After buying into the Eagle Ford in '14 for $6B, stock value rose to $80/share. It's now valued at $30! Way to go, Devon! Dumb leadership.
Whomever commented at DE’s providing value is comical. Devon DE’s are glorified middle men. They don’t actually do much. They contract all plans out to Halliburton. They are informed of what is occurring at the rig. They are not the ones making the calls if something goes south. That’s what the Co man and supers are for. And this is comin from a DE. And don’t get me started on asset team drillers. Ha. I’m collecting my pay though.

I heard on the 36th floor that Wellcon is shutting down and the BU's are going to start steering their own wells again. Sooooooooooo, I talked to a buddy of mine MM, and he 'hinted' that DE's will stay since they are producing valuable risk mitigation data.
