Is this true? I heard there's a $5k medical deductible that must be met before any bills are paid. If so, WOW!

There were several options. I think the lowest deductible was $400 but they take out $150+ per paycheck. Or you can contribute a few bucks per check and have a $9k or $12k deductible. Expensive, but still better than the ACA insurance exchange. They quoted me $700/month for a $13k deductible plan.
How come osp didnt want to be involved?
You could of chose to pay more on each paycheck for less deductible.
Sorry to disappoint you buddy. Been here for a while.
Where were you when Dolan was handing out 'Wiz bucks'?
How about when Fat Barry was chasing out union organizers with a baseball bat?
Lando are you a yellow shirt? Keep slinging those boxes rookie.
I do believe spectrum techs tried to negotiate their benefits....look where they are now. At this point your better off just finding a better company to work for.
"make them work harder in upper management"
- Are you serious? Why in the world would techs be concerned about how unionizing affects upper management?
"Oakland construction was moved because they didn't include them in the vote"
- who's fault was that? If they had supported unionization, they would've certainly been included in the vote.
"It only makes managements lives tougher pulling somewhat away from the new build."
- this is just flat out false. you must be a troll because regular worker can't possibly be this naive.
Had the entire footprint unionized, we all would've had the opportunity to negotiate the terms of health benefits. Instead, we elected Mr. Dexter to be our Judge, Jury, and Executioner.
Lodi for the win 2018
The only thing unionizing does is throw the company for a whirlwind. It won't help your job in the long run. All it will do is make them divide the work force even more and make them work harder in upper management. Oakland construction was moved because they didn't include them in the vote. It only makes managements lives tougher pulling somewhat away from the new build.
I left the company almost a year ago, and my deductibles were at a minimum 1,500 per family member X 4, you do the math.. I’m sure they didn’t improve during open enrollment last year. So it’s not b---s---, wellness checkups you don’t pay for. Altice treats you all like garbage, if they don’t want you to have a union it’s obviously bad for their business. At the very least organize to give them a taste of their own medicine, and disrupt Altice as the company has disrupted all of its employees lives without an after thought.
FALSE RUMOR
Everyone should know what they signed up for
when they did their benes at the start of the year
Bull sh--
I did my physical no copayment
Dental Aetna dental pay the whole amount
I choose the $400 deduction
Oakland did the smartest thing possible!! They went before this ATS BS..Good job Oakland..Also good luck to Lodi!! Everyone else better have their life vest on tight..
It's dependent on the insurance you picked it isn't that much for everyone. Go to the marquee the answers are all there.
Not in Oakland at least
Sorry, but a 5k deductible is as good as no insurance at all. Should’ve voted for Sanders.
April 1st is days away.....you bring this to this site now. What an idiot.
We had quite a few options to choose from so it depends on your plan. This was all gone over during open enrollment.
