Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Recipe for disaster

People are usually bemoaning layoffs of older employees who have experience and knowledge, but that's not Qualcomm's only issue.

Did anybody else notice how hard it is for us to retain young talent lately? Our turnover is really high, and it's mostly young folks who actually have some talent that are leaving sooner than they have properly settled in.

The combination of the two is a true recipe for disaster. We lose everything that can ensure the company prospers: experience, knowledge and talent. I'm really not sure with what we can do without it all.

Recently broke out. Couldn't agree more with the email or plus promotees. Keep it up and the turnover will reach unsustainable levels.

Also agree with the second poster about freshly minted hires not being able to find a job elsewhere. I mean, why would you join Qualcomm of all the places!
