Thats nothing new. Comcast has already been doing that and altice will too...they made an mvno agreement with sprint last year also and ( do i smell a spectrum merger?) Quad plays with wireless and fixed fiber line is the goal. Thats all cool for the consumer...but the real money is in the commercial realm. Do you have any idea what businesses like mercedes benz, kraft, ups, etc spend on lightpath service a month? Plus government institutions, educational, banking, hospitals, and law enforcement arent going to hold secure lines on an LTE or wifi network. They can and will drop out here and there.
If your a surgeon teleconferencing a life saving operation i dont think you want a hiccup in your LTE network.
