At previous company we all got the same christmas bonus. We unwrapped them at a company party... it was a ceramic cookie jar shaped like a turkey. Nobody said a word, there was this stunned silence, some awkward conversation and then everyone left early.
We could never tell if it was an underhanded insult or if they were just on sale post-thanksgiving.
