Soooo glad I no longer work for sprint. What a horrific company. It was such a black day for all of us at Nextel when that will advised merger came to fruition.

I worked for Sprint for 18 years got laid off a couple of years ago. When I first started w Sprint as long as you did your job you you could retire w Sprint to bad the culture has changed. If they had never did the Nextel merger they would be company that I once loved.
I got screwed too when I had to go on short term disability. Sprint told me I’d have a job to come back to as soon as I healed, but then ‘fired’ me as soon as I had hit my 6 month mark on short term disability. Took away my insurance, my Hartford payments, and my employee phone plan.
I do not think anything is funny here, why are you laughing? Cause you are happy you left or cause 100s are being laid off?
I left 22 months after the acquisiton completed. Went to VZ and was very happy. However, last november I was laid off by Verizon without any warning. VZ now has rolling layoffs and thousands are being laid off, so grass is not greener for me... if you do not believe me check out VZ board on this site, it has 1000s of messages...
I know you guy have layoffs now - hang in there and good luck
