5 managers and unknown amount of techs. Once again no dignity or respect shown to employees.

I haven't had to call TAC in a while, but I needed to call today because elements of my classroom had stopped working. The agent sounded like he just rolled out of bed. Spoke with that inflection used by young girls where his voice went up at the end of every sentence as though he were asking a question. Let's just say it did not inspire confidence. Kept saying he "couldn't think of why" my issue was happening. It was really awful. No resolution to the issue, either. Wow.

No wonder we got that email today. No more 24/7 tech support..... maybe Blackboard will provide customer service... maybe pigs will fly

Yet another example it’s money before people. Successful companies put people first both employees and students. Money companies without culture just change hands, reduce, liquidate and disappear. Funny we sell we care about student outcomes when all actions shows it’s about money from students.

Remember this about TAC in 2014?

AECCSS employees The Technical Assistance Center (TAC)

Not Surprised Outsourcing for ACC; Message for AECCSS employees The Technical Assistance Center (TAC) will soon participate in a pilot program to test the long-term viability of outsourcing services through an existing University partnership. The pilot is targeted to begin Monday, Jan. 20, 2014 . We will partner with a company called HCL and will leverage agents in India to support the anticipated increase in call volume surrounding the undergraduate rollout of New Classroom. These agents will continue to take a portion of technical support calls throughout the duration of the pilot. The rest of ACC is just a matter of time. How should we handle this? Be happy and content in the red socked lined unemployment line. How should I handle any personal feelings I have for or against the TAC pilot? The pilot in TAC provides an opportunity for the University to explore ways the organization can provide effective customer service while maintaining financial stability. We ask that you maintain your professionalism throughout the pilot phase and not share your personal feelings with others, including students.

We are losing great people. If they shoot to reduce to profit history shows you end up with a sinking ship or entity fit for sale.

You don't deserve dignity and respect. You must be living in the 19th century. Don't flatter yourself into thinking you're fit for anything more useful than working the streets wanking off predatory pervs.

Karma is so delightful. Thanks for the post.

Good luck.

Did the layoffs happen today? This was planned and resources promised to help pay for IVR system. Sad. Systems before people.

This is the worst possible move they can make for their students. This is the beginning of the end.
