Apparently people in the Finance organization are being notified today.

My wife is a financial analyst and she's gotten the boot today. I am not sure what kind of criteria Sprint was using as she was one of the best performers in her group. Never complained, was very accurate and worked a ton of overtime.

Yes, that is true. Finance people were notified on 3/20/18. I work in Finance and know a few long-time employees who got cut today. These were managers and below. Very sad for them.
