I was with HP and then HPE for a very long time. I was terminated just prior to the micro-focus spin off. I'm sorry for some of my colleagues who were not as fortunate as I to be kicked out the door but I am glad to see some well deserved just deserts being served up now as the chickens come home to roost.
Going back to around 2005 I suppose, maybe sooner, but somewhere along the way HP and HPE completely dismissed the one principle by which companies succeed. Integrity.
Unable to organically develop a line of business, like a petulant immature spouse who envies the stability and success of other married couples, they seek the short cut to capture and have the elusive value of a stable, healthy and successful line of business only to find out they lack the character and maturity to sustain it because they fundamentally don't understand how it works, otherwise they would have done it for themselves.
HP and HPE began to prioritize over-engineering processes and practices of their acquisitions rather than simply look at what worked and what didn't. Then failing to perform due diligence in their acquisitions they blame everyone but themselves for their failures. They could and will never admit to the fact that they fundamentally have no idea what they're doing.
And finally, most people at HPE and now microfocus walk around with painted smiles pretending to be fully supportive of managements direction and vision yet somewhere deep inside they simply don't get it. . . why would a company create an environment that demoralizes employees, promotes mediocrity and demotivates a sales organization to perform? ... going back 15 years now... one thing... integrity...
Best wishes to my form colleagues now at micro focus and to my executive and senior colleagues ... learn to be honest with yourselves and others...
