Few guys had about 20 years but didn’t take vsp and they were laid off last week, did they get some kind of severance? To “Mr Shut Up” please don’t troll this post.

VSP offer was 1.5 times the standard severance package, which provides 1 week pay per year served plus and additional two weeks pay. If time served was 20 years, that meant a VSP bonus of 11 weeks. It was eleven weeks from Christmas to the layoff, so if they passed on the VSP offer at end of 2017 and continued working....they worked for nothing for the last eleven weeks. But they could have gotten free coffee in the Acoustic Cafe all that time, so it would not have been a total waste!
Wonder what will happen in GSO. No Fab means no need for assembly and all the items already in Costa Rica. What will be left of the Corporate offices other than Bob and some design engineers.?
Looks like having 2 corporate offices was not such a good deal. Oregon people were smarter by making GSO think they would get the SAW business at FL expense, Give all that old GaAs to Oregon. It won't comeback now. Maybe the Corporate headquarters will move to Texas. Who knows.
Didn't another company about 4 years or so back that made GaAs decide to buy SAW filters on the open market. It worked out well for them didn't it. Oh right that was RFMD. Oh wait same leadership.

For those that are left good luck. Keep in mind Apopka cannot fully close because of the design engineers. Apopka engineers designed BAW. Many of them sit upstairs. Until you see them moving out or large spaces of empty offices, there is still a chance.
