I am reading posts below, there is talk about layoffs, but not that much and it's subdued. However, when I am in the office everyone has 'insider info' or some manager leaked something - it's stupid - people gossip and spread rumors and they never turn out true. I do not think it can be stopped but it's killing morale. I know people can be treated different but still, do not spread false rumors. i am not saying this site is doing it, it's mostly people in the office all over Allscripts

Friday, July13th. Layoffs occurred once again. Unknown numbers but seasoned US based support staff involved.
Waiting for the next round
Management has never been "All In" for anyone but themselves. They've been a troubled company for years, and it's now finally imploding. Those in management should feel GUILTY for all they have sown. Eventually they'll get theirs. I hope it's soon. Would love to be a fly on the wall and see their faces when they finally get "separated" meaning LAID OFF! You all think you are invincible and you are not.
Remember the motto "Save your pennies"...
Read it and weep haters!!!!

Not sure which location/product you work in, but it sounds like the insider information you made reference to is on point. Allscripts smoke and mirrors act is about up. The daily eroding of the client base, artificially propping up of the evaporating client base through purchase of other companies mothballed product lines,. The embarrassing and proven inability to protect clients data and systems inside Allscripts hosted , questionable investments leading to huge losses in vapor wear companies , promoting "business offerings" drawn up around the vapor ware. "P2B" , questionable accounting practices,) a company accepted SLA of l 85% uptime for hosted environments,. Follow the actions of the company and not the associates voices and make your own decisions on what to do and start looking for a place to jump. It is not this site which is feeding the low morale.
EIS had a layoff two weeks ago and another layoff this week.
There was a layoff today, and a layoff about 5 weeks ago. All centered on the former McKesson/EIS people. They have gotten rid of several hundred from that division, and more to come. This is not including those that already were given notice prior to the sale.
When you have been here a while and have seen multiple layoffs, you will understand. We know the signs of it coming. Management wants us to be afraid we will lose our jobs so we will work harder and throw co workers under the bus. Management is not All In for anyone but themselves.
