It has been predicted that layoffs will happen in March prior to the Town hall. Please update this thread if your campus suffers layoffs.

So Tuesday and Wednesday have come and gone. No layoffs before the Town Hall tomorrow?
A penny saved is a penny earned. Tap into the ultimate reality and your prison bars will dissolve before you. You will realize the shackles were never there all along. Won’t you follow me in this cosmic corporate journey?
The fruits of your success will be in direct ratio to the honesty and sincerity of your effort in keeping your own records, doing your own thinking, and reaching your own conclusions.
Happy Always
Follow the money. JB, RT, DJ, RP, DL have all recently cashed in stocks for millions.
Guess this would be the last townhall of jB and other senior dunderheads since they need to quit as a condition for the handoff
It means keep asses in seats no matter what.
...keep everyone focused on enrollments
What exactly does that mean?
Town hall is to go over May strategy and to keep everyone focused on enrollments. It’s the final session before the transfer.
If there won't beany major layoffs then what's the townhall about?
If there is any layoff next week, it will be minor and unless it impacts you or your campus, you probably won’t know about it. The real layoff will be after the May session numbers are reported and before FY19. They need you all to ensure the numbers are met.
Some light reading for you all:
https://www.doleta.gov/programs/factsht/warn.htm
Page 84, section (f):
Buyer will not, at any time within the 90 days after the Closing Date, effectuate a “plant closing” or “mass layoff,” as those terms are defined in the WARN Act or any similar Law, affecting in whole or in part any site of employment, facility, operating unit or University Employee.
Not sure which definition of "mass layoff" applies here. Could be up to 33% of the workforce.
I hardly think so...keep your bags packed.
Once the transfer occurs, there is a 90 day hold on any layoffs. So we can assume we have a job until December. Let me know if I am incorrect on this.
Adtalem won't make waves now; they're focused on making this handoff happen (the alternative is a very expensive teach out). May registration numbers are the key. If they're high enough, and the gift to Cogswell materializes, RIFs will happen then, not before.
Does anyone know the definition of "restructure" that @SaR6dxc-qrk is referring to? We just "restructured" 4 months ago. By restructure do you mean reduction or consolidation, neither, or both?
Our campus has already completed a reduction in real estate space with all staff now embedded in with academics. The next step would be to close.
Most layoffs will happen Wednesday. If you don’t receive a notification from a manager on Tuesday, you’ll have made it through this layoff. The one everyone should be worried about is the layoff that will happen in May or June. Many campuses are restructuring and subleasing out unused space. Some campus closures may be announced which will reduce some staff. Adtalem will layoff as little as possible as they don’t want the headache or cost from a layoff. If you stick around through the transfer, that’s when you can anticipate the bigger cuts.
This one will be small compared to the June layoff.
.......What do you mean? How many are you comparing to?
@SaR6dxc-kbw ...so...while the layoffs are happening, the people who ordered it are where? A church revival? A theme park? Boarding a plane to take them somewhere that doesn't have an extradition treaty with the US?
FYI, Adtalem has an outing on the same afternoon as Devrys' town hall.
Heard the same rumor. They will take place Tues and Wed of next week. A “restructure” is coming down to prepare for the transition. This one will be small compared to the June layoff.
