Al Monaco's Compensation Rose 13% in 2017

While you, you little ant of a worker bee, were lucky to receive a 1% raise, which doesn't account for your increased commute costs if you're in Houston, your loss of PTO if you're in the US, Enbridge reducing the percentage of your health insurance they're paying for, inflation, the loss in value in your 401k and pension because of the plummeting stock price...

Your fearless leader received more than a 13$ raise in 2017. FY 2016 he received $7.2 million in total compensation, FY 20217 was $8.2 million.

Work hard, by my math, each employee needs to produce approximately another 100$ per year, so that Al can continue his pace of buying a new vacation home in Banff every year. (Disclaimer: I don't know that he's actually doing this, but everything else in this post is true.)

Al Monaco got a pay increase but his workers got a 1% merit increase in 2018. Considering our President and his EVP's performance plus the yo-yo stock price, if he announces another below the cost of inflation increase, there's a large group of employees who are going to tell him where the rubber hits the road in no uncertain terms.

Monaco is a bean counter and it seems that most of the coffee beans are ending up in his Tim Horton's cup.

You are lucky if you are an employee who get a 1% increase. Try being a contractor on my business unit, not only you get multiple rate cuts, you are also being treated like crap LOL. Anyways, it doesn’t matter coz both employees and contractors are leaving on their own anyway. The only way to survive the most political environment and “power struggle” infested company is to join the pretend club of really busy but doesn’t really get anything done. If you take things seriously and personally you will just get stressed.

Yeah, I noticed his wacky compensation when I got the annual meeting info in the mail. The 1% raise I got was less than inflation, so I effectively got a pay decrease. And, my STIP was adjusted down by those turds. Someone should do the math... how much are we paying Al for each one of his barely coherent Yammer comments? (Someone recently told me that he probably doesn’t write those comments himself ... but my response...a professional writer would write “more good”. Haha. Unless they laid off the professional writer and outsourced the position to someone who is still learning English? LOL).

It’s fun to vent. :D

Yes but he cares so deeply for his employees! That he and other scumbags are laying off!! Ratass to these a-wads. This place is getting ripe for a horrific event! Id be mindful of what managers are doing to employees- fearing someone (not me retired, im at Whistler—Big Als Butler! ) is going to Snap! Oh then they will have another lessons learned!! A new way we killed employees and how we ducted prosacution!!!!!
