Contrail "Enterprise" Multicloud - How many Contrail licenses have they sold so far in total?!

Great product Contrail. Lousiest BU though. For every Contrail POC I worked at I had NO response from anyone at the BU AS down, unless multitude of SVPs would be copied on the request. One would think that for such a truly great product struggling to get business traction, the BU would be on their toes trying to generate business. But in reality they insist on being invisible! And now they have an Enterprise Multicloud! Another marketing+product execution flop in the making

Fungibullshìt!

They all might as well be on the Juniper payroll. Though many of us view it as a boondongle, for these folks joining Fungible, it is another little escapade to crank up their retirement earnings.

Majority of them were no good anyways. Good riddance. Unfortunately they will be back into Juniper through that useless Fungible.

Is it a coincidence the founding team members all left before this great multicloud product release?

Itls not a naive mindset if you want to market a product succesfully.

When you market a product, as a vendor you look for credible customers to back your work by being a voice, that is essentially a third party. This has more clout than any other third party such as analysts and industry experts because it shows the product works and the solution has been tried out before. So, it is not a naive mindset to have a customer testimonial.

As to why they have to be “great” customers providing testimonials... again, if the more testimonials you have representing the different segments of targetted customers, the better. Again, not a naive mindset, when it comes to marketing a product.

Juniper lacks execution on many fronts... including marketing. Our go to market strategies are usually reactive, short sighted and follow the successes of other vendors. Therefore we are no longer innovative leaders in technology but rather followers, hanging on to the coat tails of the Aristas of the world. Contrail is an exception in many ways, but we don't have the marketing know how to be an innovative leader in technology.

A great product does not great sold to great customers just because its a great product! That is a naive mindset. What is required is execution, SLA definition, ease and flexibility of Licensing. None exists for Contrail!

Marketing s---s too. However...this smells like Marketecture! Vaporware! Slideware!

Don't you think a truly great product will have big name customers with credibility, "able and willing" to give testimonials that can be quoted in the product announcement, as they have supposedly already deployed betas?

The only reason they have not is because this is just hype. It is just plain old contrail trying to find a place on the multi cloud bandwagon. What's next? Contrail for IoT? Contrail for Smart Cities? Contrail with Machine Learning? Contrail with Evo?

It's all a bunch of fungible!
