Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

As we approach the 2nd Anniversary of ACT, has Intel become a better place to work or more toxic?

I know two ex-colleagues that have found other jobs with another company due to low morale and the current environment at Intel.

Same here, selling SSL1, SSL2 stocks from yesteryears..

As long as bad politics and incompetent VPs, Directors, MCM exists, god only can save Intel.

Money (record earnings and bonuses) doesn't buy happiness. Good morale comes from enjoying your work, feeling appreciated, feeling like you add value, working cohesively, being kind & welcoming toward one another. So yes....low morale can exist despite record earnings and record earnings. Unless your Bob (CFO) who's compensation is based heavily on stock price and is short term vs. long term focused.

Most of my former colleagues have left Intel, either RIF'd in silent layoffs (without packages), left on their own or have been moved around 2-3 times in the last couple of years.

Ran into a few current and ex-Intel folks at a recent conference. The best that I heard from anyone was, "We're starting to get a clue. But it's still a mess." There is zero faith in leadership, zero faith that they won't be laid off with at any time and zero faith that there is any kind of coherent strategy. The most clueless, inbred Intel lifers are in charge of programs and initiatives that require a clue, external market focus and entrepreneurial spirit. So happy to be gone, in a much better place and not stuck in the politics, backstabbing and stupidity of arrogant, ignorant, clueless a-holes.

What low morale. Record quarterly earnings, and record bonuses.
