Hey, Cogwell Comrade! Thanks for reaching out. As I'm sure that you can tell from reading this board, most of DVU is frantically busy looking for other jobs at the moment. DeVry was once a great place to work and had a positive reputation as a tech school, and then a "good actor in a bad sector" but that's been in the toilet since the 2016 FTC settlement. Our management has been incompetent, self-interested, and deceptive, and our careers have suffered collateral damage from the fallout. Management constantly changes its mind, in seemingly random or contradictory directions, and there is a steady stream of often-invisible layoffs and benefit reductions as the company bleeds students and staff toward the seemingly inevitable teach-out. As you can see, general consensus seems to be here that AdTalem threw us away because they didn't know how to make us profitable after bleeding dry any remaining shreds of market goodwill towards DVU. Any positive news you might have would be highly appreciated--kindly pass on that we are hard-working, honest (if disheartened) faculty who desperately need support and care if there is any chance of making a go of it those of us who can't find other jobs would be happy to hear supporting messages and a positive plan to move forward. If there is one. Thanks.
