This will mark the one year date of sycamore takeover. They will no longer be bound to severance packages as laid out in the agreement. This layoff will be massive. Unlike any that have transpired before. Slash and burn after 1 year mark. I am sure there will be the typical comments calling “bs”. Ah , this is the way sycamore and private equity works. Banks are looking for ROI. The hell with the bond holders.... sycamore will stiff them and end up walking with a truckload of money. They are vultures. They are well known as such. They don’t save sh--. That is not what they are in this for.

It’s coming soon.... it’s been confirmed. Lots in marketing and HR.
Where we are employed is a flexible situation. Being a terrible person.....not so much.
I agree. One less racist prick. I still hate this company. There are indeed, big layoff announcements coming. That’s a given
This post brings a smile to my face. One less racist prick in the building.
What about layoffs for the D.C. Associates??
I'm waiting for one....
Whoops I meant “either”! :p
F them I got 2 interviews this week... I got into a new role but barely and pay increase. Why do I want to do more work for about the same pay other than it looks great on my resume? I havn’t heard any news about a founders day this year ether.
bs
This is not bs. It is fact. I don’t give a rats a$$ what sycamore/staples management post in opposition. It is fact. Update those resumes at get out before your number is called. It will be.
After June. All severances packages are dead.
Regarding severance, the day I don't have a severance guarantee is the day I leave for another company.
At that point there would be no reason to stay.
liquidity event
hahaha. I worked at a small company in N. Hollywood, everyone rushed to the bank at lunch on Friday and I discovered why the 2nd week ... my paycheck bounced.
Yikes this has become fun to read. However, children, the trend is the truth. The trend is fewer of you and eventual sale.
Real se the equity. Liquidity event to follow.
It’s true. After one year of the agreement - severance packages are removed.
"Why would severance agreements expire. I see no expiration in the one I signed."
I don't think current packages have an expiration date but could see a situation where SP doesn't offer severance packages moving forward.
Why would severance agreements expire. I see no expiration in the one I signed.
I strongly dislike you
Jesus says it's wrong to hate.
No room for haters on the Staples team.
waaah
I have no love lost for Staples but there are typical "BS" replies on these boards because there is typical BS everyday. If some troll predicts a layoff every day and then one happens, they are suddenly Nostradumbass and have all the inside info.
Admit it, you don't have any inside info from SP. You are making sh-- up which may or may not be correct. You are a troll and maybe your goal here is to be helpful but you aren't.
...but whatever. Who cares, right? I strongly dislike you and people like you
I'm gonna pull the whole thing down. I'm gonna bring the whole diseased, corrupt temple down on your head. It's gonna be biblical.
