Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

Where is the Technology innovation or leadership

Citrix has lost its edge on technology innovation and is now just milking a single cow with no one else in the herd. A single cow is just a one hit wonder and will spell demise in the near future. Add to that the no nothing people like CR into the leadership and you have a recipe for disaster.

A two day stock pop does not mean it is sustainable by Citrix.

Layoffs are coming

There are two things at play.

A company has to invest meaningfully if they are serious about pivoting to the cloud based SaaS offerings. Unfortunately citrix is just using existing resources to manage both the on-prem and cloud based services so they will fail at both unless resources are increased .

Second you have to have an ELT that gets the complexity of go-to-market of cloud based SaaS Services. Unfortunately we don’t , they are just us By financial reengineering and a few customer wins to show progress.

It’s a big house of cards

There are two faces of Citrix. Internal every day is a new escalation, our backs are fckuin open — and an external, we own the market Twitter persona.

ELT will move on and DH will manage wall street for a few years. The long term story is really grim.

I can't wait for this.

Quote from PJ on social.

"There are so many things about our innovations in cloud security and user experience that I want to shout from the rooftops... but I can’t. It would spoil the surprise! Just a few more days until CitrixSynergy; I can’t wait!"

We are going to get a lot of hot air from CR next week at synergy so get ready with the barf bags.

This gas bag should be in Napa filling hot air balloons since that all it’s good for. When you promote people with no customer experience to these type of positions you know Citrix is one big incest-is-best family.

When you get idiots like CR being promoted while the really capable people are ignored you have a recipe for disaster. Innovation left the citrix building years ago and now it’s just an exercise to milk a dead cow.

There will be no innovation, because that requires a long term mindset and investment. Only short term EPS and cash flow matter. The only way this strategy makes sense is if the company is being primed for a sale or more divestitures. Otherwise, it is a sign of a company with no future as an independent entity.

Some got laid off, others are jumping ship. You can find them now at VMWare, Amazon, Microsoft, Magic Leap, MobileIron, etc. You know, companies with a future. :)

But we’ve just launched a whole new load of core products!

Oh wait, we just renamed the old ones, my bad.
