F Ebel. He ruined a good thing at Spectra and only looked out for himself.
He won’t be removed, he will step down and leave quietly sometime in october or november to preserve face and to get all his dues by then.

GTM-Wide email went out on Friday informing employees on VP of Project Execution’s decision to retire.
Which leader quietly retired on Friday? Was it the President of GTM or the VP of GTM?
Don't know about that but GTMs VP quietly "retired" this past Friday. Should be interesting who takes over GTM/MP and when it will happen.

Need to bring back Steve W and some of the great people that have been let go in the past few years that were good leaders and cared about the people, honesty and culture.
What office were those rumors floating around? If it was Houston, those are probably legacy Spectra folks doing some wishful thinking. If it is the Calgary office then maybe there is some truth to it.
Changing the ceo wouldn’t change what had happened in the last 3 yrs - the crash of oil price, asset sale, merger, layoffs, demoralized manpower. Rumor or true I don’t think anyone who will replace him can turn around a lot of things in short period of time or will stop the reorgs and layoffs. As for me, I will continue to show up at work, save some until I can find something else. Besides, a lot of workers doesn’t really care anymore and just show up for money. Had became better actors and actresses, uses company time and resources for their own personal advantage so why blame it all in one or few people only. Just saying.
Does it matter? Who ever come first job to cutoff. I m more concern now if this rumor is true. Crossing my finger. Good luck all.
Ebel would be no better. He was a good part of the failed Spectra acquisition, costing hundreds of not thousands of jobs in the process.
Changing the CEO won't change the outcome.
And throw out half the board along with bean counter Al.
