No, they treat contractors terribly, won't even let you go to safety meetings....it is constantly "oh, you are a contractor--not sure if YOU can go,..." won't even let you volunteer with the Georgia Power volunteer groups. Discrimination is rampant, and the biggest game is who can work the least, managers never around, and so little knowledge when they are...but everyone is very polite in their e-mails, while they stab you in the back, stay away! Tons of better companies, just not the fancy name of "Georgia Power" who will be nice to you, plus rare to ever get hired unless you have 5 or 10 years to wait around....move on...no wonder the light bill is so expensive!

I work at Vogtle 3 and 4 as a contractor - your comments are spot on. The hubris of the SoCo people is nauseating - they treat contractors as scum and then expect them to work like dogs. They think the term “Southern Company” implies that it is a reward to slave away for some of the worst wages in the industry. If Building 301 or 302 did a minute of productive work it would be the first.
