Thread regarding Guitar Center layoffs

Guitar Center layoffs April 2018

Every loss comes with layoffs, so this time it's no different. So far, $11 million lost from investors cost close to 200 people at corporate their jobs.

I'm sure this is not the end of it, and we'll see many more layoffs by the time this all settles down.

There is only one thing that's certain at Guitar Center right now, and that's that nobody is safe.

Totally not true, at my sons school in Los Angeles, the band has 6 to 8 to guitarists

And they are 11-year-olds. Plus 4 bass players ,entertaining that people can be so out of touch! There's a waiting list of people in schools around Los Angeles to play guitar in the bands... what you have is a retailer who hired the wrong employees to work. And continue to restructure their debt route deceptive means route deceptive means

Most of the people that come to guitar Center are hobiest

ies that have no clue as to what they are doing. They come in and buy gear then get frustrated .then they return the gear. The real musicians have started to go back to the mom and pop stores where they don't have to be subjected to these people. It is no wonder that the staff at GC have a limited knowledge of what they are selling.

No one plays or buys guitars anymore - except the geezer Boomers and they're dying out. Everything is rap and hip-hop. Yo.
