Not getting the pay but getting the experience. Construction and osp are great resume builders compared to field service.
New resume says was a bbt4 or 5 but not really.
Reminds me of all the grade 12 fiber techs. We are all seeing how well that is working out.
Sounds like a good way to make you do the work but not pay or make you the grade level.
LTA is for you guys that were spoon feed from uncle Jimmy. You dont know how good you got it I encourage you to go research three jobs I left and I am at Charter and wish I didnt leave. Efficiency seems like an industry standard sorry slackers....

Mon- Fri no career progression. Sounds good for a 20 yo living with the rents. Just hope it's a 30 year long term assignment so you can mortgage a house. The whole LTA makes me nervous.
If they're not going to cover on call and get thrown to the wolves within a few weeks then they're not worth training.

No self respecting OSP tech would train any one at this point. Knowledge is the only thing guaranteeing your future employment, so dummy up and keep your mouths shut. Do the smart thing, and when handed a card, sign it, and get your job security back.
Well, I think OSP is safe, because they haven’t figured out how to teach FS work ethic yet.
