No, not possible, but now they won't be firing people left and right like they had for the past decade ... Now we have have a voice and we can hold them reliable for their wrong doing so be safe and take your time and do your job correct no more rushing work we are not a machine besides safety matters, screw your productivity now is safety first not numbers so the rest of you non union shops do the right thing for your selfs and vote union is, you are the union., and you'll feel the relief of your back to be backed up by the labor board...ibew all the way

Last year, during the Bronx union campaign, we wanted to exclude Fiber & Construction from the election because we knew they were all 100% pro-company and would certainly vote NO.

Management insisted on having them included and of course, we see how that all turned out.

Lodi OSP & Construction are grown men and they made a grown man decision not to be included. More power to them. I personally believe that they'll eventually join.

I credit Lodi Field Service for doing what they did. Job well done.

Hey “you not a puppet”... they were asked and didn’t want anything to do with it. They had the opportunity and took the Altice kool aid. Now they are offering field techs LTA into OSP work. They are the ones that should be really worried about getting laid off.

BtW what kind of scum are you to wish someone to lose their job? People voted the union in to secure a future.

I hope the OSP and the FTTh come to their senses and see they can be part of the Union. See that the only chance they have is to stand up against this sham of company stands for

Can an OSP tech from Lodi give an explanation of why they wouldn’t want to be part of the union? Real answers only please, I know that’s asking a lot from the trolls on this board, but going forward we would like to have them involved.

Pretty insulting that OSP and Construction weren't included. Afraid that the no votes would have outnumbered the yes votes? What if everyone had voted yes? So now you have shunned people. Way to unionize, idiots.

Strength in numbers, my @$$. I hope all of you yes voters get laid off.

Were service techs out of Lodi who are now working in FTTH included in this vote? If so, will they be extracted from the project?

"Any information yet on where Lodi Osp and construction techs will have to report to since it is now a union shop?"

  • union & non-union techs can work in the same shop.

  • Lodi put a big monkey wrench in their plans for sure.

  • gonna be very interesting to see how management responds to all this.

  • I suspect they'll stall for as long as they can before they sit down at table.

  • no way in the world will they want to reveal the true nature of ATS to the the union.

  • they may try to find a way to make Lodi Field Service AlticeUSA and then include them into the Oakland negotiations.

I second that. OSP and construction dropped the ball by not being part of the vote. Don’t make the same mistake in other shops. Don’t believe the lies, if it’s not in writing, you won’t get it!

This is with great respect for all the technicians that has made their voices heard loud and clear. Bravo for standing up for ourselves. At this point it doesn't matter which union you choose to assist in representing you and your rights as an Altice/ATS employee. Our rights and the needs that we require to do our job must be respected and not trampled on. We cannot allow ourselves to be treated as puppets on a string at the whims of Altice/ATS supervisors up to all managers and the CEO. They bought this company to bleed out as much $$$$ they can to line their own pockets. It's not ment to be shared with us. Treating us as the bottom of the barrel employees. We must wake up and free our minds from the lies they speak. They are not here to make you have a career with them for 5-30 years. They have conned you way too long. For as an example the unionized employees in Europe, when they were ready to lay them off they had to pay them a month's salary for every year they worked for them. That's what having a representing united union voice at the table can and not necessarily negotiate for you. We have to believe in ourselves first as a working class group in the USA that must be respected and treated fairly no matter who owns this company. A foriegn owner buys the company you work for. The company made for example 600 million 2 years ago in profits. After consolidatiing their infastructure, paying VRPs closing call centers selling out buildings trucks and equipment, lowering the number of employees that used to work for them to just 33% they are telling you that you have to pay more for your family and health plan benifits and a whole heap of other stuff that you didn't have to do before. Now their profits are well over 900 million. So you really believe that they care much for you. C'mon technicians we dont care what union you choose IBEW or CWA. We do all work for the same company. We will have the unions United around the table together, to ask for the same exact benefits and respect we need from this foriegn owners. The days of listening to the nay sayers and Corperate weasels are done and over with. No more lies, we have not benefited in no forms or terms with them at the helm. Let's us all, every depot come together and vote in your own choice of a union. We dont care who you chose, but you must make a stand now. Vote in any union NOW so you can have a seat at the table with us, lodi Oakland and Brooklyn, negotiating how you want to be fairly treated for the next 5- 30 odd years if it comes. Let us vote now, let US all VOTE YES. UNION YES.

"Let’s be clear that NJ got the same contract as NY ...4 years not 2."

"On the impact on employees, Cablevision will not cause a reduction in force in customer-facing jobs, including at the Newark Project Facility located at 494 Broad Street, for two years following the close of the transaction. After the two year period, but before 3 years post approval, if there is any net loss of customer-facing jobs in New Jersey greater than 15%, the Joint Petitioners shall notify the Board of such change and provide an appropriate explanation."
