I agree with the post stating how different each department is run. I worked for Micron for 10 years. First five years was great. Good supervisor with excellent coworkers. Positive and constructive feedback. We all worked together as a team. Then I was asked to move to a different area to help them out because of high turnover. I agreed because I am a team player willing to help out the company. Biggest mistake I ever made. My life became a living hell. By far the worst manager I ever had. No excuse management style. Only negative feedback and threats. I was treated like garbage. My spouse was taking business management classes at the time and would tell me my manager was doing everything they teach you not to do as a manager. He's still there because Micron has no process to clean out poor managers. Happy to be gone.

I have been gone for several years now. Family says they are glad I finally got my life back. New employer is in shock that I am not used to working 40 hour weeks. I go home in the evenings and now have time to do things. My weekends are also not filled with trying to get things done or else I will be put down in our weekly group meetings in front of everyone.
Place is really bad and there is no other way to put it. It is just too bad because Micron used to be a place people would die to work for. Now everyone wants out, but have been brain washed so bad that without Micron they will become homeless. The company burned this into everyone's heads and it is simply not true.
So glad you had the courage to leave. I have worked with a number of coworkers that have been here like thirty years and they are like fifty years old. Only thing they have ever done. No college; low to medium level jobs after all those years. How sad...
