(Mind you I use to work at this store a few years back) But today I needed to buy ink for my printer so I went to the store today to buy ink cartridges and noticed the store was closed for business. All I saw in there while looking through the window was fixtures and a pallet of paper towels. I was told by my old GM AV a few years back that the San Mateo store was the biggest Staples money maker in Northern California. If that’s the case then why did they close that location. I’m glad I left when I did, I’m happy I moved on to Google. Is the rest of the Staples in the Bay Area in trouble? My wife works for a major tech company in the Bay Area, she is the one that places supply orders and they have used Staples for over 7 years. If there not going to be around I want to notify her to use a different service like Office Depot. Any details? I still can’t believe they closed the doors.

So basically I’m a Business Strategist & Operations organizer that provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. It’s a lot better then being a business machines lead at Staples and now I’m making almost 4x’s the money. Nice thing is I’m not nearly as stressed at Google as I was at Staples.

Orders from businesses do not go to stores. They go to the FCs. The FCs handle all contract, commercial and online business. That division is more profitable than retail, and not likely to be going anywhere anytime soon.
