So many people are trying to run this company down. Share your stories about some of the unique products that you found at Kmart and the great deal you got on it and what it would have cost at Target/Walmart. The only way to combat lies is to shine the truth on them. So many people telling lies about Kmart and so many people running it down. Those of us who love Kmart, employees and customers should be countering these lies and building Kmart up with the truth. God bless all of those everyday who work their butts off making Kmart a stronger company and serving their customers! I think that's what some of these Kmart haters forget in all of this, that on the frontline there are hardworking, loyal, dedicated people in the stores trying to make Kmart the best that it can be. Can't be fun knowing that all of your work everyday get's distorted by lies by people who would like to see you lose your job because they have a weird vendetta against Kmart.

Kmart best deal was getting shipped Mainstays, Circo, Faded Glory, Merona, Up & Up, Great Value, Essential, Kroger, and Topco because its exponentially cheaper to buy from the compititors than to buy through Kmarts deals with Kmart suppliers on Kmart contracts.
@1vku And yet the Kmart-obsessed person can't manage to grasp the idea that it doesn't matter how many people still have a Kmart within 50 or 100 miles. Try 5 or 10 miles for the limit for the vast majority of people to bother going there for regular shopping instead of other stores. Yet the Kmart fanatic is delusional enough to think it matters if there's still a Kmart 50 miles outside of a major city.
1agz For me it's 10-12 miles of stop and go traffic each way. Probably not always worth it but I like to see what the stores look like occasionally.
Yeah. The Omega Man with Charlton Heston. Classic movie
I like the stores. They are quiet, empty and like going back in a time machine. I like to pretend I am the only survivor of the apocalypse. Fun stuff!!
On a side note : how close is the nearest Sears / Kmart to you in miles, and would you realize any savings given your cars gas miliage and the distance involved in a round trip to it?
It is kinda fun to watch those 3 foot long receipts print out!
The silence is deafening
Good night everybody, it's been a stone gas, baby.
Deals... The only thing that sells is clearance at a loss... Sears is not a retail store, it is a Reit... it isn't about selling merchandise...it's about selling or leasing properties. Why Did Buffett Buy This Sears-Focused REIT? - Forbes...
You paid $4.99 for toothpaste. What are you, a glutton for punishment?
This stuff is funny!
I bought a tube of toothpaste at Kmart for $4.99. A week later I was in Walmart and saw the exact same toothpaste for $2.89. Nice to know that Walmart is where I shop now.
@SGcsR6N-ugh Gosh what a sweet story, brought a tear to my eye. From laughing. LOLOLOLOLOL
But seriously your electronics department stinks.
Here is my nice story.
About 2 years ago an elderly member lost control of his bowels and s#!t his pants. The mess fell out of his pants and onto the carpet of the electronics department. The store manager is too lazy to get a carpet cleaner so the trail of stains are still there from the electronics dept. To the bathroom.
My nice story.
Diane Brunetti, the so-called manager of Kmart, Aramingo Avenue, Philadelphia, left the store last year and didn't return.
The most horrible, clueless person to ever pretend to be a manager.
Happy days!
I liked our local store but didn't visit regularly.
Online shopping and a failure to adapt to the market wrote a predictable ending.
I purchased a pair of girls tennis shoes and lip balm for $1.78. Thanks to free cash offers and points, I regularly save 75-100% off the price. 😍😎🍸
Sears didn't keep up with the times, and now their time is coming to an end. You will still be able to shop online, just like Montgomery Wards. Stores come and go, now we have Amazon whose always on time.
There’s nice stories?
My "nice story" about Sears is a good friend who was "asked" to retire after 34 years. He had given his life to the company. He's still looking for a job after 2 years.
Another "nice story" is the 47 veteran field leaders who were laid-off after serving the company for many, many years. In my own immediate circle, 35 of my recent colleagues lost their jobs after dedicating themselves to the "transformation"
I was laid off last July after 11 years of service. All told, more than 50,000 associates lost their jobs IN A SINGLE YEAR, THAT is "the truth"
Maybe post your cr@p on PEBBLE.
So...there are your "nice stories". ENJOY!
This is NOT PEBBLE!
True, there are issue but there are many good things about the company as well. To get a true assessment of the situation the good, bad, and ugly needs to be played out openly and honestly. There are too many who seem to come here not seeking truth, but with a vendetta against Sears Holdings who try to distort the truth.
Happy thoughts on a layoff board are not going to save the company. Let's fix the issues, instead.
