I recently called SYWR regarding a points issue...the phone reps are no longer located in this country. My issue which in the past would have been quickly resolved took forever. Are you sure you were offered a position in this country?! Even so, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

What is wrong with you? Why would you come on this board asking for advice to help make a decision like accepting a job offer? I suggest you do your own research, get on the web look up the recent news and financials of the company (and believe me there is a lot) to help make your decision. You can even go to sears holdings website and read all their financial filings Once you read up and see the shape the company is in then make your decision, based on facts not this board!

I wouldn't accept or reject a role with Sears based on anything written here. There are tons of factors you have to consider before accepting the role and while people talk about those factors here, each person has to make his or her own decision. For every person you speak to who says "run" there is another one who will say - if you can handle some level of uncertainty, then it could be worth the time. Either way, good luck.

You don’t want to work for the sneaker wearing douchebags who run that group, or the whole organization for that matter. All they will do is steal your ideas, pass them off as their own, then kick you to the curb. They are not relevant to the shopping world, and never will be. They need you because they have no brains of their own. Don’t ruin your career and lose your self worth by joining this company.

Shop Your Way is just another part of the SHC pyramid scheme/ fraud being committed. I have never seen a more disorganized clusterf@ck anywhere in the business world. If you do accept the position, just ensure you keep all of your belongings in an easy to carry bag....Something that is easy to carry out when you are laid off, or SHC finally pulls the plug.

Ask yourself why are they offering me a job. Don't you think if there was someone better they would hire that person

I said to Run, I am not going to explain it.. Go a head and take the job. The only thing I'm going to tell you is to look at a couple of the zoos in the the Chicago area which are really nice and I'm sure you can get a job shoveling elephant crap.

layoffs, low morale, no planning,no direction, no leadership, no goals, no organization, bullies, toxic work environment. I work there now and it’s a horrible place to work,If you are young/inexperienced and want to get a year of experience under your belt before moving elsewhere it might be worth it otherwise don’t bother as I struggle to find out what would be in it for you

working in shop your way is like living in a strange version of twin peaks. just scratch the surface and you enter a world of confusion and madness. if you like a lack of leadership, no prospects/benefits, lots of cross team conflict and absolutely no idea what your companies purpose is then come aboard you’ll fit right in.
