My group was told by our manager that volunteering is certainly an option. Several accounting groups have heard the same thing.
Can somebody please confirm if this is the truth? We haven't heard anything from our manager about this option, and I don't want to give them the cause to wait me out instead of laying me off if I am already on the list.
No, the list is sacramental. This is not the Hunger Games where you volunteer to be tribute.

Accounting seems to have told their groups more than any other. Hence this is the group, along with IT, that will destroyed. 300 is not enough. This will happen again in 2019. 2020.
It is the truth. I heard the same thing from my supervisor, whom confirmed it with his manager. Only problem is, apparently the “list” has already been made- but I can’t confirm if this is the truth or not. If anything, I’d volunteer no later than Monday morning if I were you.
