if you got a 5% increase its because you're waaaaay underpaid. and that's not a good thing...
I am at DST and my merit increase was 5% this year, 4% last year.
People reviewing resumes in KC are going to see "DST" at the top a lot. Will be hard to stand out from the pack. If you are on a specialized team/role seeking employment elsewhere, look to your left, look to your right, that's your direct competition now.
Um, no one is getting more than 2-3%merit increase at any company.
Wake up, you're all slaves. You really think you can do better than DST? If so, people would just leave. But the media lies about the economy, pumped up fake stock market and unemployment numbers.
It's a joke because people can't find other jobs if they could, obviously they would leave.
Just wait until the stock market crashes for real. No one will have a job.
No, the joke is remaining at DST where even if you survive a layoff, you won't get more than 2% in your merit increase.
You can choose to make less and be miserable if you want. People who are smart will use their resources to find a way out of that s***hole.
Or they could wait and see what happens. Maybe some don't get laid off.
LinkedIn is a joke.
This is why people need to get on LinkedIn and network. There were recruiters on the site specifically targeting DST employees after the sale was announced, and it may be that there are more looking to tap that pool again.
