Thread regarding Education Management Corporation layoffs

Pittsburgh layoffs?

We are approaching end of fiscal year. Who has news on Pittsburgh CS office layoffs? Those execs aren’t gonna wanna keep making that AZ—>PA trip much longer. Are campuses expecting layoffs too?

The Art Institutes, South University, and Argosy University (RIP Brown Mackie College) were all founded in the principle of Education Management Corporation and now The Dream Center, to charge more than a Community College for the same education. Then, have the federal government fund it. And with The Dream Center, fund other programs for addicts and then sell them an education where you own the school. Perfect! Now you can afford multiple mansions just like the founding father.

Bloodletting in corporate compliance. Let go almost all the remaining people with enterprise knowledge or ethics

They hired a bunch of people without college degrees at lower salaries for some reason. It wasn't because they added programs or got better leads. If nothing changes, they'll have to layoff because they'll be overstaffed.
