After over 30 years less than 10 hours scheduled! Am I being forced out?

@esf, find out if older workers have any rights in your state.
I don't know, but I chuckled when everyone said that SST would be better and get more hours. You aint alone OP been in the company 6 years as of now ever since they brought SST my hours have been becoming a joke. This week (before SST I was getting about no less than 20 hours and up). This just week I got 13 hours what a joke...
Just to add our store looks like crap now after the change.
They want you to quit so they dont have to pay severance or unemployment. That is the plan until they get 95% part time employees that are high school kids or college kids who dont need, nor can work many hours.
Probably nothing personal. This time last year hours at mine were cut back so far that all of us MCAs, minus two or three full timers, had ZERO work for the whole month of April. (I think they pretty much allotted us with the bare minimum that the full timers had to be given and spared noting for the rest of us.)
Granted a year later we're closed... but at least I'm still there making a few extra dollars helping clean up until next Thurs.

Not full time anymore. Went part time lady year (so I could get my pension). Age?over 60.
Long time associates with experience are no longer an asset but a liability in the company's view.....Our store had all Grandfathered FT40 associates downgraded to FT30.....Management says there are too many fulltimers in our store... Company is now looking for fulltime productivity and dedication out of a part time workforce.
Not forced out. They just don't give a hoot. If you're full time, it might be to avoid severance though. How old are you? Ageism is real.
