One Sycamore decision I applaud is a job elimination in Merch Ops yesterday. Long time coming.
Certain positions, not all, are being outsourced, including mine. What I find interesting is that some roles were found a comparable role within Accounting, while others were told that their role is ending 9/1 or 10/1, depending on your team. I was not given a comparable role. From what I've seen, the employees who have been given a chance to stay are young, fairly new to the company, and most likely near the bottom of their salary level. One more thing, we will only get our severance if we stay until 9/1 to help transition.

Everyone was laid off today Milton. They are going to move your cube to the basement where you may listen to your radio at a reasonable volume whilst collating. Ignore your missing paycheck it is just an accounting error.
Pay attention to the all hands meeting, the date of that will reflect the date of the layoffs. Notice they moved the date... They will use the all hands to address the remaining people and feed us the same old b---s---.
