Why?
Yes that won’t look good on his resume and my guess is he is not likely to get a letter of recommendation. Personally I always keep a small vial of ipecac in my pocket. When I get fired, I wait until the boss is looking away and then drink the syrup. Nobody can blame me for getting sick during such a traumatic event. I get a little bit of payback but most likely will still get a letter of recommendation. No jail time.
