Can someone please tell us how are those affected by today's layoffs being notified?

Was laid off first round; they blacked out the building and made a long path to a place complete with tissues to catch the tears. Some HR girl and my supervisor came in and gave the news; asked if they would mail all the stuff in my office; and if they would just quit talking. They quit talking, filled a back pack with some stuff and walked out, down that wonderful path and out the garage. No tears, just faith and my usual grin. Came home and my kid was in tears; 16 years and all she knew was Devon - the cool building (that long lost its soul). She had a t-shirt she'd worn to school, said "Devon, a great place to work."
Started working contract the next day; moved to Midland 6 months later - have a great job.
Devon was good to me, vested all stock, paid me for one year - job coach/interview service - helped with health care deal at a discount rate. As mentioned, I have faith - hope you do as well.
To those that come here and troll / heckle people - I despise you and hope you understand karma.
