My group was told by our manager that volunteering is certainly an option. Several accounting groups have heard the same thing.
I should have listened to Lil'Antojito...
From past experience, typically not if at the same pay and in title only. If you leave it's your choice and no severance.
If you are presented a demotion, are you able to say no and take severance?
Any news on lay offs with guys close to the wellhead ?
Names have already been submitted for general staff. Now they are deciding mgmt.
They wont take volunteers because your role maybe the one they take for themselves. Your leadership is now forming a list of who will be let go and which Director/Sr. Manager/Manager/Supervisor/Lead will take the demotion to your role, to save themselves.
