Recently, a few of the Aflac leaders were in India securing a large contract to outsource more jobs in analytics and IT. This project is going to really put some families in a bad spot. While Aflac touts the "Because of You" garbage, they are making big deals to cut overhead (FTE accounts for most) by almost $350 million. Ethics my backside.

What about Policy Services? At one time they wanted the employers to be able to make changes to policies themselves and thus cutting FTE in that department.
They will soon be outsourcing the entire quality team, and doing away with risk management. Claims is looking at how to process without physically having people key it, cutting FTE.
Aflac is currently ran by folks who care more about greed and shareholders than their American employees. It used to be a great company who cared about its employees. But no more.
Worked there for 17 years. Had the good sense to leave on my own 18 months ago when I saw the writing on the wall.
There is a lot to be said when family members of a "family owned business" would leave the company and go work else where.
